is it a race?
Definitely not! It's between you and your Strava. But seriously. this is a fun, social participation event - we want you to enjoy the trails, take in the view, make some friends, and have heaps of fun!
What time do the riders head off?
There will be a rider briefing at 8:30am. Riders can then head off any time between 9-10am. So no sleeping in!
do I need to sign a waiver?
You sure do. When you register, you will get a sign-on badge (no plastic) to identify you as a participant and you will need to sign that you have read the waiver form. Insurance companies, ya know?
Do I have to be fit to complete the 53km?
You betcha! Or on an e-bike! We welcome all kinds here! But seriously, there is over 1300m of vertical climb so if you don't have a motor, you will need some climbing fitness to enjoy the loop.
HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO GO?
Good question! Part of our zero-impact credo means we will not be putting up any course signs or providing maps. We'll post the final route ahead of the day, and make the GPX files available for download. So you'll need to come prepared to self-navigate. We will also mark some directional arrows on the ground at major junctions, and we hope to have enough volunteers to place marshals as well.
do I need to be back by a certain time?
We hope to have all riders back at the start finish by 3pm latest to enjoy the music, festivities and eBright eBike Festival happening back at the Brewery.
when do online ticket sales close and can I enter on the day?
Early bird tickets close on September 30. Online ticket sales will close completely at 5pm on Friday October 25th. So don't miss out - you will not be able to enter on the day!
What is on the food menu for the event?
The amazing Bright Brewery chefs will put together a healthy, unpackaged, and energy-rich menu of snacks for you, like coconut balls, muesli slice, fruit and more to enjoy out on the course and keep your energy reserves up.
Once you make it back to the Brewery, your reward will be a pot of Mountaincrafted beer and a meal.

I'd like to volunteer. how do i get involved?
Awww, you're the best! A non-profit event like this thrives on the back of its volunteers. We'll throw a branded event KeepCup your way, plus a meal and drink back at the Brewery when the event is finished, plus all the snacks you can eat to keep you going during the event.
WHAT ARE THE TRAILS LIKE?
Both courses take place on fire trails or rail trail sections - all drivable by a car. There is no single-track, so if you're a tech-head, you'll have to get your fix the day before! There is nothing technical about the trails (except the 1300m of climbing!) so everyone can participate and have a great time!
